One of the most rewarding parts of our three days with Cooper was watching the team flex their facilitation muscles. Part of their training included showing us how they run a brand experience workshop, then asking people from our team to take a turn leading the conversation.
While some of us have led plenty of client sessions, for others, it's a newer skill. This format allowed people to practice in a low risk situation. There was no client expectation, no high-stakes project to mess up.
Our developer, Colin, took a hand at leading a brand conversation.
I love that they included space for this kind of exploration and muscle-building. It was a great opportunity for people to step outside of their normal roles. As a developer, Colin spends most of his time with code and technology. Today, he got to wield the whiteboard marker and talk branding.
This is exactly what Factory Week is all about – trying something new, getting outside of our norms and seeing what happens.
