This edition was notable because we had two team members just getting started with SmallBox. Factory Week is a pretty good way to get to know who we are and what we're about!
We returned to the Speak Easy to dig into 23 projects, one of them being a mystery (only Jeb knew, that tricky trickster!). We wrote project personas to help us examine how we work (and how we aspire to work), we wrote job descriptions for our entire team, we designed a new emails template and other stuff for Musical Family Tree. We even watch a movie together (Eames!).
CJ McClanahon came by for an afternoon workshop to determine personal purpose statements and goals for each of us. At this time in our evolution, understanding purpose had become ever more important for SmallBox and for our work with clients too. This workshop with CJ was the perfect extension of those beliefs.
Musical Family Tree is getting a makeover. I caught Jon and Jack reviewing and finalizing the designs (and man, oh man, they're looking sharp). I'll save the full reveal for Jon Rogers, who heads up that project. But I think the world deserves to see this collaboration in action.
Elizabeth got us started off right with an amazing breakfast casserole. And cherry danish, chocolate donut holes and juice. That, my friends, is fuel for success.
Today a few of us are creating Project Personas in preparation for a "Team Scrimmage" later this week.
After a delicious kick off breakfast, we're divided into groups, tackling our first projects. Here's the whole line up!
Don't blink now, but we're almost halfway through 2012! After a weekend full of cook-outs, get-togethers, and record-breaking heat; we're ready to announce the dates for Factory Week 3, which will be taking place June 25th - 29th.
